Who will our baby look like?

Sam's first baby picture Kristol's first baby picture. Yes, were are on the same blanket. I guess all the hospitals had the same 'first picture background blanket' back then. :) I couldn't help look at these and try to think what our little guy will look like.

Easter

Dying Easter Eggs at mom's house. Easter Dinner at Grandma & Grandpa's house, outside! Austin & Mom After all the Easter egg hunts were over. Me and my pregnant easter bunny. Shanna and Mom got me a pregnant easter bunny. I laughed so hard!

Baby Crib

When I came home today, I was so excited to see the crib Sam had finished and had set up in the nursery. He has been working on it for a few weeks now. We designed it together, and it turned out way better that I had even imagined! It is made out of rustic cherry. You can also see in the picture the walls Sam painted pin-striped light and darker green. Then he put up molding around the top of the stripes. We're getting there. Sam has put so much time into everything. He is making a dresser/changing stand next. It is all coming together. We are getting so excited. As I have had a couple of friends say, "You spend months getting the nursery ready, you bring the baby home and put him in it, then you just look at him. And you think, now what do I do with him?! :)" Yeah, that will probaby be me. You can see the darling baby quilt my mom made. There is a close up of it below. Someday I'll learn how to quilt, and maybe I can make the one for our next kid. She made me a bigg...

First 4-wheeling trip of the year!

OK, so I only rode as passanger for a couple of rides, and forgot my camera. Sam took it easy because he is trying to sell his machine. But we had a great time at the dunes. We went with some friends, Sean and Jenny. Here is the one picture I got of Sam and Sean chillin' inbetween rides.

3D Ultrasound

This is a 3D ultrasound of our little guy at about 23 weeks on Feb. 19. I am a little behind posting this. You can see his head in profile, with his leg curled up around the front. His hand and foot are hiding part of his face.

It's a Boy!!

Well it is a boy! Sam wanted a boy so badly. I don't think I would have been able to choose if I could have; so good thing it doesn't work that way. I was lucky enough to have a good friend of mine that does ultrasound do ours today. Thanks Bliss! She did a great job. We have a video, but I am not computer smart enough to put it on here, and it's pretty long. So here are a few pics below. I could feel him so much this morning before the ultrasound. And he was so active during the ultrasound. There was one part where it looked like he waved at us. It was like he knew we could see him, and he was excited as we were. Here is a little of my history that I should have known it would be a boy. I have an older sister, Shanna. We are just a couple of years apart, so when we were younger, we would get the matching dresses, or similar dolls, ect. She got the pink dress, and I the blue. She got Barbie, I got Ken doll. She had long hair to her butt, and mine wouldn't grow much past...

Sam's Artwork

Sam has worked hard this winter on projects for us. He made me a table and chairs folr my birthday in November. It came as a pretty good surprise. The lighter wood is a curly maple that just shimmers. The darker is one of my favorite kinds of wood, walnut. It is beautiful. Just this last week we decided we needed to get rid of a lot of junk since we only have one spare bedroom and we need to clean some stuff out so we have room for a baby. We got rid of a desk, a table from our old computer, etc. Sam made this beautiful shelf/table. We can use our laptop on top when we have to print, the printer goes in the big slot, books on the shelves, and office supplies in the drawer. Sam designed both of these, and as you can see, does it to fit our needs. It is made of rustic cherry, which he will soon build a crib to match. (:
