It's a Boy!!

Well it is a boy! Sam wanted a boy so badly. I don't think I would have been able to choose if I could have; so good thing it doesn't work that way. I was lucky enough to have a good friend of mine that does ultrasound do ours today. Thanks Bliss! She did a great job. We have a video, but I am not computer smart enough to put it on here, and it's pretty long. So here are a few pics below. I could feel him so much this morning before the ultrasound. And he was so active during the ultrasound. There was one part where it looked like he waved at us. It was like he knew we could see him, and he was excited as we were.

Here is a little of my history that I should have known it would be a boy. I have an older sister, Shanna. We are just a couple of years apart, so when we were younger, we would get the matching dresses, or similar dolls, ect. She got the pink dress, and I the blue. She got Barbie, I got Ken doll. She had long hair to her butt, and mine wouldn't grow much past my shoulders until middle school. I had no problems with any of this, except the hair thing. :) OK, so it wasn't always that way, but it suits me and I liked it. I would stay home and work on the farm, and meet up at family parties later than the other girls. I liked working on the farm. My favorite color is green. I hated to wear pink until college. But, Shanna had a girl first, and I the boy. And I couldn't be more thrilled. Funny how life happens.

Here is a cute profile shot.
My favorite, his little foot. Funny how babies' feet are the cutest thing when they're born, yet the most disgusting when people get old.

Congrats!!! I'm so surprised that you and Kolbi are both having boys. I was sure one would be a girl and I have already bought a stack of "pink". Oh well, working at Macy's you know there is always going to be a good sale on the horizon. I'll be plenty prepared with lots of blue......
Let me know where you find the cute boy clothes I am to used to looking at girl stuff.

Wow Kristol, congrats! The ultrasound is so cool huh? I think it makes it feel more real.

I hear over and over about how much easier boys are than girls so I hope it's true for your sake!

Hey I just stumbled across your blog Sams' artwork is spectacular, the table is my favorit. I grew up with Sam and Emily in Twin Falls and just wanted to pass along my congrats to both of you. It looks like you are expecting your boy at around the same time I am! Best of luck to you both:)

Dax riding his bike

I haven't posted forever, but we are so proud of Dax. He wanted a bike for his 3rd birthday a couple of weeks ago, but we decided against it thinking maybe next year... Then Dax and I went to a garage sale and found this awesome bike. He was riding it by the end of the day. And completely starting by himself by the end of the second day we practiced. He is so determined to learn certain things. We are so proud of him.  Just had to show the cute video.
