I haven't posted forever, but we are so proud of Dax. He wanted a bike for his 3rd birthday a couple of weeks ago, but we decided against it thinking maybe next year... Then Dax and I went to a garage sale and found this awesome bike. He was riding it by the end of the day. And completely starting by himself by the end of the second day we practiced. He is so determined to learn certain things. We are so proud of him. Just had to show the cute video.
Sam at our first campsite overlooking Bear Lake Our second campsite. Mariah, Ben, and Sam cooking pancakes. After 4-wheeling one morning, we came back to find a baby moose in our campsite. It came back that night and hung out the whole evening just to the side of our campsite by a creek. It was still there when we went to bed. Talk about tame animals. Sam and Ben at the beach. No they don' t have shirts on. We ate Old Ephriams Pizza down in Garden City one evening. We were able to finish this 28" pizza, but it took us 3 days. Sam getting a little air, and a little dust. Mariah and Ben Sam and Kristol The last night we got rained out and had to go to the cabin. But not before Mariah and I started the fire and cooked dutch oven pizza during a downpour. The boys had had enough rain, but were nice enough to grate the cheese.
When I came home today, I was so excited to see the crib Sam had finished and had set up in the nursery. He has been working on it for a few weeks now. We designed it together, and it turned out way better that I had even imagined! It is made out of rustic cherry. You can also see in the picture the walls Sam painted pin-striped light and darker green. Then he put up molding around the top of the stripes. We're getting there. Sam has put so much time into everything. He is making a dresser/changing stand next. It is all coming together. We are getting so excited. As I have had a couple of friends say, "You spend months getting the nursery ready, you bring the baby home and put him in it, then you just look at him. And you think, now what do I do with him?! :)" Yeah, that will probaby be me. You can see the darling baby quilt my mom made. There is a close up of it below. Someday I'll learn how to quilt, and maybe I can make the one for our next kid. She made me a bigg...
