CAR SEAT COVERS!!

My sister makes and sells these carseat covers. This is the one she made for me and I love it. She has a new blog where you can look at them: shannascarseatcovers.blogspot.com E-mail her and tell her you know me and I can get them so there is no shipping and handling. Or you can let me know. She has awesome material, and bows or handmade wooden buttons. These are usually around $50; she sells them for half that.

Sleeping

Daxton loves to stretch. But these pictures are not if him stretching. This is how he sleeps. He loves his arms by his face, and most of the time stretched up completely. I always swaddle him, and within minutes usually, he has wiggled them up by his face. I makes me laugh every time. Even when awake, you can see his legs all stretched out, an his hands up. It has become his trademark.

Good Luck Kassie

This is a friend and co-worker of mine. She has just over a month left before her little bundle of joy arrives. Good luck Kassie!! We had a shower for her, and some had requested I post my salad recipe. It actually came from my sister who got it from our aunt. And now I'll pass it along to everyone. It is yummy. Funny thing though; after the shower, I went home and looked in my fridge, and I still had the spinach and cilantro that I had forgot to add. So all the 'add ins' at the end can be added or not. I added it after to the leftovers and it does tase good either way; but it adds more color with the greens. One pound of bowie tie pasta cooked 2 cups of grilled chicken Marinate chicken and pasta in sauce at least 2 hours Marinate sauce: 1 cup veggie oil 2/3 cup red wine vinegar 2/3 cup teriyaki sauce 2 TBSP sugar 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper Before you serve add: (you can add more or less as desired, or none at all of these ingredients) 10 oz. fresh spinach 2 cans manderin...

I can't stop taking pictures of the cute little guy!

Daxton just over a week old. He loves camo... so do we. :) He hates being naked, probably because he is so darn skinny, and he gets so cold. He has Sam's feet. Second cousins Daxton and Ryker. They were born 11 days apart. Kolbi and I, our moms, and our boys got together and had lunch. Ryker born on the 11th, and Daxton on the 22nd.

Hiccups

He still gets the hiccups. I thought this video would show him a little more real than a picture for those of you who haven't met him in person.

Daxton is here!!

Here is my last picture before Daxton was born. Daxton arrived Monday night, June 22 at 7:07 PM. 7lbs. 3 1/2 oz. 21 inches. Monday morning at 12 AM I woke up crampy. I went back to sleep, only to wake up again at 2:00 having contractions. They weren't bad, but I knew we may be going to the hospital that night, so I got up and put my makeup on. Sam woke up wondering what I was doing. Neither of us could go back to sleep, so we watched a movie until about 4:30 when the contractions became more consistent. We drove 50 minutes to the hospital. It was nice because my contractions were about 5 minutes apart, but not too bad yet. I was checked and was only dilated to a 2.5. So we went and got breakfast. Then we visited Lynly, a friend who had her baby the previous Saturday and was getting ready to go home. But visiting her my contractions slowed down. So Sam and I decided to go walking and take stairs around for another hour or so and my contractions got a lot worse. At 9:30 AM I was adm...

Baby Showers

I wanted to thank all those who threw me showers. I was lucky enough to have three. One with family, one with friends and neighbors, and one with my work friends. This first one is the family shower that was a double shower with my cousin Kolbi. She is due with a little boy two weeks before me. Her mom, Mindee, and my mom threw this shower. Check out the food. It was amazing. My aunt Darci made this 'diaper cake'. My goal is to be this creative someday. These are pictures of a shower thrown by my long time friends Nicole Broadbent and Andrea Bohman. Everyone tied an adorable quilt that Nicole did for me. Thank you Lynly, a friend from work, who threw me this shower. And she is due just 4 days before me with a little boy as well. And thank you Ryan for being man enough to come to a baby shower. :)
